No accounts, no cookies
We don't use cookies or ask you to sign in. Your browser keeps a note of today's votes in its own local storage so the buttons show “Voted”; it is never sent to us.
Votes
To allow one vote per entry per day and to rate-limit abuse, we store a one-way hash of your IP address combined with a secret value, the date and the entry. We never store raw IP addresses, and these markers expire after two days. Vote totals are stored without any identifier.
Suggestions
If you suggest a model, we store the text you type (no links or email addresses accepted) for up to 90 days for private review. Suggestions are never published.
Comments
If you post a comment, we store the name or nickname and text you enter. It stays private until reviewed; approved comments are shown publicly with the date, and declined ones are deleted (unreviewed comments are deleted after 30 days). To limit spam we keep short-lived counters keyed by a one-way salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself. Email us to have a comment removed.
Analytics and hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver it. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not track you across sites.
Third parties
Listing photos load from eBay's image servers, and clicking a listing takes you to eBay, whose own privacy policy applies there.
